TULSA, OK – The Tulsa Oilers, proud member of the ECHL, and Head Coach Rob Murray issued Qualifying Offers to eight players for the 2017-18 season.

These are the eight players who received offers:

  • Charles-David Beaudoin, 23, Defenseman
  • Dan DeSalvo, 25, Forward
  • Kale Kessy, 24, Forward
  • Garrett Ladd, 27, Forward
  • Christophe Lalancette, 23, Forward
  • Darcy Murphy, 24, Forward
  • Alexandre Ranger, 21, Forward
  • Patrick Watling, 23, Forward

Players who had already signed a contract by June 30 did not need to receive a qualifying offer. The Oilers have already signed five players to 2017-18 contracts, and will announce those signings over the next several weeks, pending proper protocol. The first player announcement is scheduled for later this week.

Each team was entitled to reserve the rights to a maximum of eight qualified players. Of the eight qualified players, no more than four could be veterans (260 regular season professional hockey games played as of the start of the upcoming 2017-18 season). Players on open qualifying offers cannot be traded.

The qualifying offer must remain open for acceptance until Aug. 1 at which time the qualifying offer becomes null and void and the team may sign the qualified player to any salary or may elect to take no further action. Teams that extend a valid qualifying offer to a non-veteran player shall retain the rights to that qualified player for one playing season.

The Oilers open the 2017-18 season on Friday, October 13, when Tulsa hosts the Kansas City Mavericks at 7:05pm at the BOK Center. Season and Group Tickets are available NOW, by calling 918-632-7825. Visit www.tulsaoilers.com for more information.
