FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 30, 2018

Tulsa will travel to Wichita for a preseason game Sat., Oct. 6 at the Wichita Ice Center.

TULSA, OK – The Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s St. Louis Blues, will travel to face the Wichita Thunder in an exhibition game Saturday, Oct. 6 at 4pm at the Wichita Ice Center.

There are only 200 tickets available for the exhibition game, which can be purchased for $12 apiece exclusively through the Thunder Front Office, by calling 316-264-GOAL (4625). The game will be played at the Wichita Ice Center’s NHL rink due to mechanical issues with the rink used for last year’s exhibition game between the two teams, which is the reason for the limited seating.

The longtime rivals will square off 13 times during the regular season, with the Stonewolf Casino Cup being presented to the team with the best head-to-head record. The Oilers won the Stonewolf Casino Cup each of the first four seasons from 2013-14 through 2016-17, and the two teams split the season series 4-4 in 2017-18.

Tulsa begins its fifth ECHL season and eleventh season of hockey at the BOK Center on Saturday, October 13, when the Oilers host the Idaho Steelheads. The two teams will complete Opening Weekend in Tulsa at 4:05pm Sunday, October 14, followed by a postgame skate for the fans with the Oilers players.

Season and Group Tickets are on sale now by calling the Oilers front office at 918-632-7825. Visit www.tulsaoilers.com for more information.
