OILERS COMPLETE SERIES OF FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS DEALS
Tulsa completes future considerations deals from the 2019-20 season with Cincinnati and Toledo.
TULSA, OK — The Tulsa Oilers announced Friday that the team has traded the rights of forward Jacob Benson to Cincinnati to complete a future considerations deal for forward Cory Ward. The Oilers also announced receiving the rights of defenseman Nolan Gluchowski, completing the future considerations deal that sent forward Alex Kromm to the Walleye at the beginning of the season.
Gluchowski, 26, has spent the majority of his professional career with Mountain Division rivals Idaho, tallying 49 points (13G, 36A) in 79 games with the Steelheads. The 6’0, 196 lbs. defenseman finished last season with Toledo, registering five goals and four assists in 18 games with the Walleye. A native of Wixom, MI, Gluchowski played his college hockey at St. Lawrence University, logging 71 points (16G, 55A) in 133 collegiate games, earning ECAC All-Rookie Team honors in 2014-15.
Benson, 24, joins Cincinnati after posting five goals and five assists in 18 games with the Oilers last season. The Grand Forks, ND native registered 18 points in 24 SPHL games before joining Tulsa.
Kromm, 28, played in 32 games for the Toledo, notching four goals and six assists before heading to Jacksonville where he played one game, registering 2 PIM.
