The Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League and Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League, announce their 8th Annual TD Williamson Pink in the Rink Night benefiting Turn Tulsa Pink. On Saturday, February 6 when they face the Utah Grizzlies, the Oilers will wear specialty pink jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game in the ONEOK Club of the BOK Center.

The Oilers feel privileged to work so closely with Turn Tulsa Pink and are thrilled to see the growth of Pink in the Rink each year.

“It’s overwhelming,” said Turn Tulsa Pink Director Judi Grove. “Turn Tulsa Pink appreciates the Oilers for their continuous support for cancer patients in Northeast Oklahoma.”

From the jerseys, the Turn Tulsa Pink logo on the ice, to even the pink Zamboni that drives on the ice each game, the presence of this important cause is pervasive throughout the BOK Center and the Oilers are excited to welcome back this unique night!

Where many are familiar with the color pink in representation of breast cancer, this is not the main focus for Turn Tulsa Pink.

“We’re the all-inclusive pink.”

This pink is best described as the “power, passion and love” given to all who are affected by cancer—directly and indirectly.

How can you be involved?

First, come to the game in your pink! Match the players on the ice and show your support for this incredible cause that is widespread throughout Tulsa and other areas of Oklahoma.  If you don’t own pink or you arrive at the BOK Center and have forgotten, don’t worry—Turn Tulsa Pink has you taken care of.

Those from Turn Tulsa Pink will have a designated booth space on the concourse where you can purchase a signature pink shirt and other pink merchandise.

Second, send in names! A favorite of the TD Williamson Pink in the Rink night benefiting Turn Tulsa Pink is the “Links of Love” shown off on the ice during a given game intermission. The pink paper links provide the opportunity to list off the names of survivors, fighters and angels of those you love.  This can be done by submission through [email protected] or at the game itself.

The mission of Turn Tulsa Pink is to bring to light the local grassroots charities that provide services and support to all people affected by cancer in our communities. ‘We Believe Charity Begins at Home’.

“There’s nothing better than a hockey player in a pink jersey.”
