OILERS ADD SIZE TO BACK END VIA KYLOR WALL

Tulsa adds 6’2. 232 lbs. defenseman Kylor Wall  

TULSA, Okla. —The Tulsa Oilers, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Anaheim Ducks and the AHL’s San Diego Gulls, announced Wednesday the signing of rookie defenseman Kylor Wall.

Wall, 25, joins the Oilers as a rookie by ECHL qualifiers, but had five points (3G, 2A) in 17 game with the Fort Wayne Komets last season, while also registering a Plus-two rating and 28 PIM.   

The 6’2, 232 lbs. defenseman played in collegiately in Canada, logging 34 points (8G, 26A) in 61 games with Nipissing University and Trinity Western.

The Edmonton, Alberta native stayed in his home province to play juniors, compiling 77 points (28G, 49A) in 207 AJHL games with Calgary and Okotoks. The left-handed blue liner was a member of the 2018 Okotoks Oilers, who fell in the AJHL Finals to Spruce Grove.

The Oilers kick off 2023 at home on Saturday, Jan. 7 for the Oilers’ sixth-annual Autism Awareness Night, presented by Safelite. Tulsa hosts Allen on the night, and puck drop is at 7:05 p.m. Jerseys worn during the game will be auctioned off in the River Spirit Lounge postgame, benefiting Autism Oklahoma. The Oilers close out the weekend with a 4:05 p.m. Sunday Family Funday, presented by Griffin Communications against the Wichita Thunder at the BOK Center.
